Have you tried Qoo which is free and works quite well at least on my
end. The app is easy to use, all controls speak no problem with
VoiceOver and there are different sound themes as well as two voices to
choose from. That's q o o not c or k o o.

being in the App Store. It seemed at first, as if timely would solve the
problem. However, it doesn't seem to maintain the settings. I have received a
refund and I am going to try to get chime from my computer.
I hope that other people can do the same. and the iTunes will let us all
restore it. If not, maybe someone else will have better luck at finding a
substitute than I did. I tried a few and none of them were good.
