Hi, make sure that the auto brightness is off. Go into settings, and swipe right until you get to display, and brightness. Double tap on this option, and swipe to the slide, you can adjusted to what you want it to be, swipe to the right, and make sure that auto brightness is off. You will also be able to change the brightness anytime you want from the control center too.
