Hi Mary, Are you on iOS 8.1? If so deleting music directly from within the music app on your iPhone is super easy. You can do so by artist, album or individual song or even by Genre. This is definitely a huge improvement in iOS 8 over iOS 7 because in iOS 7 it was not possible to delete an entire album let alone an entire artist which means if you have 5 albums by a particular artist and you don't want any of them, a single swipe up ro down and a double tap gets rid of them all. It's basically the same as deleting an email or message, the action rotor works in the music app and in whichever view you choose, playlists, artists, albums or More/Genre. Find the artist/album you want to delete, swipe up or down to switch the action rotor from "Activate" to "Delete" and double tap.
