It could vary city to city, but I was told that Columbus drivers are 
recommended to use Wayz for their navigational app.

A suggestion for those about to sign up, Lyft does ask for a photo. I had one 
taken of me holding my white cane, so hopefully drivers would know to look for 
a blind person and bus identify themselves.

I do this with dictation.  confirm the address the app found in its
mapping database if it is correct. I took a Lyft ride home from work
last week when my white cane broke and I didn't have a spare.  I was
picked up in six minutes in a Cadillac by a 21 year old driver from
the neighborhood who had been driving for Lyft for just two weeks.  He
was mindlessly going to hop on two expressways during a Chicago rush
hour to take me home.  He was following directions presented in Apple
Maps.  if we did that, my travel time would have doubled.
Fortunately, we did not and used city streets.

as to service area, e-mail Lyft and explain you are blind and cannot
visually see the coverage map.  Ask the company to describe its
service area in your city.
