It was not a requirement to sign up. The rest of the story was I did not have the picture with the cane taken at the time I signed up. I tried later to add it to my profile and could not. I wrote to Lyft to ask if they would add it for me. They eventually replied that, unfortunately, they were not able to do so. So, I do not have that picture for identification.
Lyft may be a lot of things in the transportation arena, but accommodating is not one of them. Nor are they timely answering customer inquiries. I do use them a bit, and I have seen a definite decrease in service over the past six months. Also, there has been diminished enthusiasm in their drivers.
