The problem might be one of users asking too much of the form factor. Small
apps such as what Microsoft is offering on the iPhone and such are not meant
to be full Microsoft Office replacements no matter how hard blind people try
to make them behave in this manner. these small apps might result in a more
productive experience for the sighted user, but this is because the iPhone
and such devices are designed for the sighted world, so when you read about
these apps anywhere other than these blind-centric lists, the apps boast
lots because sighted people can for the most part be much more productive
not having to swipe their fingers to the bone trying to find each icon or
control on the screen--they just scan the screen with their eyes and tap.

What do you feel can be done to improve the current accessibility or ease of
use?

Well it doesn't look like accessibility has improved at all. Almost
impossible to edit a document even with a keyboard. Nice that you can
do basic editing without subscribing but I don't really think it's
very useable yet frankly. Still pretty disappointing sadly.
