Hey Tom,

You're sure having a time with your new phone. Here is what I have assessed
with the edit field in the app store. If I search for a specific app, I am able
to clear the edit field with the clear button. However, if I do a general
search for a particular category such as solitaire, I can't clear the edit
field. The only way I could reset the edit field and clear it was to close out
the app store in the app chooser. I then heopened the app store and the app
search field was clear.

As far as the picker not working, have you sried to enter your credit card
info through settings, iTunes/Apple ID? With my restore from recent Mac backup,
my credit info transferred over. Just a thought.

Cheers,
Eileen
