OMG I do not have a clue how I could have moved the mute button but that is apparently what happened. I have an Otterbox commuter case on the phone and the mute button is so recessed it is not exactly easy to move but.... thanks so much for this simple solution even if it makes me feel foolish for not thinking of it myself.
