Hello, prior to me doing the update, the money reader was working for me
too, I am using an iPhone 5s iOS 8.1, and now the app doesn't work at all,
deleting, and reinstalling doesn't work either.
My solution for me, is that I am going to restore from a back up that I did
last week, using iTunes.

Unfortunately, reinstalling does not make MoneyReader open for me. Even
doing a reset on the phone doesn’t help. Looks like Looktel has a bug that
at least keeps the app from opening for several of us.
