If the Apple TV is hooked up to the TV via the HDMI cable and the TV has an analogue audio output then this will work fine. I assume Rob is using the headphone jack of the TV which he connects to a set of powered speakers. This will mute the TV at the same time. My TV has a 3.5mm headPhone jack. I used that jack to connect to my powered amplified speakers, so now my TV as well as the Apple TV plays through my speakers without me having to purchase a optical cable and a AB system that connects to optical devices. And now I have a question. If I press the bottom right button three times, will it toggle VoiceOver on and off?
