Good Morning! I may have an answer for why some recievers aren't detected... I have noticed that sometimes, my receiver's IP address changes because another device on my network asked for a new IP address at the same time the DirectTV receiver tried to renew it's IP address. This causes the app to not see the reciever as you have to manually put in the IP address when you add the receiver in the app. If you call DirectTV tech support, with sighted help, you can set a static IP address on the receiver and this will vastly improve the app's connectivity to your receiver.
