I have both the Giraffe Reader and the StandScan. I am waiting to receive a different stand called ScanJig. Each one has its place depending on what the individual needs. Access World did a review of all three stands over the last couple of years. I'd also recommend spending several hours with the KNFB Reader app because you may find that you can get perfectly good scans without a stand once you get used to how far above the page you need to hold the phone, etc. But, the stands are there if you prefer not having to think about it.
