Right, thanks, i didn't know that would get the dictate button back, but
this should work the same if I use the eject button on my bluetooth
keyboard, right? thanks.

In an edit field, such as a search field, you can use dots 1-4-6 to
toggle the on-screen keyboard. The dictate button should be just to
the left of the space bar. If you don't find it, go to settings,
general, keyboard and make sure it's enabled.

So if my bluetooth keyboard is giving me a fit during a search field,
can I use a dictate button from the screen? I think what my question
is can I show keyboard, will that give me the dictate button back or
does just having another device hooked up negate dictation? Thanks.
