Well, you made a good discovery there. I just went into my song list and tried this and it works fine. I changed a song title a bit and then went into Get Info and after activating the Details button I went to the song title and checked it to make sure the actual meta data for song title had changed and it did. So yes, if you want to rename a song then you can do it this way, easy and quick. I did try this for artist and album and it doesn’t seem to work for that. There was no rename on the context menu- so looked around quite a bit- with no luck. I'll have to check it again to see exactly where I was- the navigation and all the treeviews are quite a pin IMHO.
