I have noticed that if the messages are very short, they send automatically.

In settings, messages, I can turn off raise to listen, but that is not what I want. I want to rais to listen and then be able to play back the message to see if I like it. If I press compose, Before I enter a contact, I can raise the phone to my ear to record a message and then remove the phone and it stops recording I can then decide to whom I wish to send it. If I hold down the record button to record a text message and then release the button, I then have a send button. That way, I can hear the audio before I send it. However, if I raise the phone to my ear and hear the tone, I begin speaking. When I take it away from my ear, I hear the tone, but there is no send button because it has been automatically sent.
