All Access is another app. I haven't used it much myself, but it uses
your location and gives you a list of restaurants near by. If the menus
for the restaurant you're interested in have been loaded into the app
then you can bring up and read the menu.

It works ok, but All Access is much better for restaurant menus because
of the variability and size of some of the menus.

Besides those who don’t mind making a spectacle of themselves or mind
putting of meals for themselves and their company, is it really
practical to use the KNFB Reader for restaurant menus? I am wondering
about the speed and accuracy of scanning menus, which can vary widely in
format and quality.

I love the KNFB reader. I use it primarily for reading short paper
documents like business letters, etc.. I use it on an iPhone 5 running
iOS 7.1.2 and am amazed at how quick and accurate it is.
