Be sure you're actually reading the message then you can touch the screen
very near the bottom, just to the right of the Home button. It should say
"Reply"! If it says "Compose" you are too far to the right. Double tap on
"Reply", then you can flick right (or touch if you know where) to get to the
"Forward" option.

I feel stupid I can’t get any other option like more. There is only one
message in the conversation. As I say when I flick up or down I just get
those Two options. I wouldn’t worry but I am wanting to keep this message
before setting up my replacement iPhone 6.

Just swipe down on a message in a thread, you'll hear Voiceover say
"More". Double tap and the message you were on will be selected. You can
double tap other messages in the thread to select them although
unfortunately Voiceover does not say "selected". Then at the bottom you
have an option to delete on the left and an option to forward on the
right.
