Hi Carol. I find that if I do the two finger double tap nearer to the center of the screen it works more consistently. On my 4S I could do it right above the home button, but on my 6 that doesn’t work as well.
I just got a set of speed dots for my 6, and I think the end button has a dot, but I’ve not checked that out. Maybe someone else could chime in about that. If it is, as I believe, marked it might be well worth the investment for you. They aren’t that expensive. God bless!
