Thanks, Andrew. I guess I should have specified that I'm looking for dictionaries on the iPhone. Sighted users look up words effortlessly on mono- or multi-lingual dictionaries, and I thus far haven't seen a way to do it.

What I did then to deal with the situation was to go to voiceover utility with vo+f8, and in activities I created a new activity limited to Ultralingua only that tells voiceover not to say "clickable".
