Yes, now it works.

I uploaded a new nightly build that should hopefully fix this problem.
It modifies /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia directly rather than creating a new
/etc/modprobe.d/virtualgl file.  Give it a try whenever you get back and
let me know if it works:

I've tried version VirtualGL-2.2-20090819.i386 now, and the permission problems seems to be gone. Thanks!
