If ThinStation had the TurboVNC viewer on it (or even the TigerVNC
viewer, v1.2 or later), then you could start a TurboVNC server session
on the server machine and connect into it with the high-speed TurboVNC
or TigerVNC viewer.  I don't know much about ThinStation or what it
ships with, or how we could get our TurboVNC viewer included with it.

VirtualGL, in and of itself, would not provide a solution, since
VirtualGL is only for 3D applications.
