Dear Darrell, > I assume this is still fixed?
Yes, it did not appear again. > It makes me nervous, as it seems like we > don't really know whether this was a bug in TurboVNC that you just > worked around or whether it was a more systemic issue that would have > occurred with any full-screen application. If it was a bug in TurboVNC, > then it's something I want to fix. Sure, - I think the reason for the malfunction is that the client's OS wants to get attention for some dialog and / or the screensaver and claims the keyboard input (which is basically correct as we should not have to live with an OS waiting forever..) - the problem is that the dialog window will never get through to the user as the TurbpoVNC fullscreen window covers every graphical output of the underlying client's OS. I think it would be perfect if the client OS would still be able to send dialog boxes on top of the TurboVNC screen (maybe marked so the user knows who's talking?). In this case, we'd need no workaround to reconnect the keyboard. Plus, it would be great if you could examine why the F8 does not always work as expected when the user tries to leave fullscreen mode (When I press F8 while in fullscreen, the tvnc popup show up, then I deselect "Fullscreen" but I will end up with not a real Ubuntu window but something mixed..: >> We see the Ubuntu menu (Applications Places System...) but the menu of >> TurboVNC is concealed behind that - so we have limited (I think no) >> options to grab and move that window. >> >> How it should be: >> >> 1.
