Distant dream? I'm not sure what that is supposed to mean. We and the VirtualBox developers have been burning the midnight oil trying to make it work. The issue is in VirtualBox, and it is expected that 4.1.13 will fix it, but they are still working on it. I assure you that as soon as we have it resolved, you'll be the second to know. Our biggest sponsor is paying for the resolution of this issue, so it is being resolved as fast as it can possibly be resolved.
You can temporarily work around the issue by renaming /usr/lib/virtualbox/VBoxTestOGL and sym linking /bin/true -> /usr/lib/virtualbox/VBoxTestOGL.
