Urrr... I don't know why you're making things more complicated than they need to be. We supply DEB packages for Ubuntu and other Debian-compatible systems. Debian installs 64-bit libraries in a different location than Red Hat (/usr/lib rather than /usr/lib64.) Also, it expects 32-bit libraries to be in /usr/lib32 rather than /usr/lib, so you can't just convert the RPM's blindly and expect them to work.
