The results of running it on the console, assuming you're also using 
vglrun in that case, might also be relevant, but definitely testing with 
TurboVNC is going to be revealing.  The main reason is that TurboVNC 
lacks a GLX extension, so if VirtualGL fails to load properly into 
VirtualBox, it won't run at all rather than attempting to run with 
software OpenGL.

Also, looking more closely at your post on VirtualBox.org, are you still 
not using the nVidia drivers?  I don't really expect VGL on Solaris to 
work properly at all without them.  Also, you are trying to run both 
VirtualGL and SRSS on the same machine, correct?
