On page 19 there's a nice graph comparing readback performance of a 
Geforce GTX570 versus a Quadro 6000. Quote: "Readbacks on GeForce are 3x 
slower than Quadro". Just checked the talk and she says more or less 
"that's how it's supposed to be" and "readback on geforce is capped at 
around 1.25GB/s", i.e. sounds like the business model is to blame.
