Hi Sebastian,

If you shutdown Virtuoso gracefully it should automatically run a checkpoint to 
commit all pending transactions (or you can run one manually at anytime with 
the "checkpoint" command) with the log file being zero bytes in size and thus 
nothing has to be replayed on startup. Are you saying that your log file is 
typically not zero bytes in size and thus always having to replay logs on 
start-up ? What parameters to you have set for checkpointing in your 
virtuoso.ini config file ?
