Good, you've done a very thorough debugging. Now try to do this: cat /sys/bus/pci/devices/$PCI_ID/pcm/f0io_counter You should see a growing counter. Now, do that command once a second. It should grow by 8000 counts per second. If not, it will go 16000 or 4000 per second. Let me know if the frequency is correct or not.
