This indicates the inability to synchronize properly, probably the PCM interface configuration does not match your cabling. Unfortunately I don't have such setup and I don't have time to prepare it and check with my oscilloscope.
I've connected my cards as described on http://zaphfc.florz.dyndns.org/ . This works with zaphfc...
