I have also changed the 8.1.0 pre-release to check for the folder buffer
and do nothing if there is possibility of corruption. This is the best
we can do at this stage. So, I am closing the bug report for now.

when set to this value, filling is done for a width that's some 10 characters
larger than the actual window width, instead of a few characters shorter.
