Just on a side note. ICANN recently bailed on remote hubs.

Basically their problem was they tried interactive hubs and 1) it was two
much work at center  2) remote hubs are technically not so easy for non a/v
people to handle 3) attendance was not what they had hoped.

Myself, I think that individual remote participation is usually a better
experience in terms of interactive, except in some connection challenged
locations. However like the meetings themselves, a  hub's value is very
much in the f2f 'hallway' discussions.

ICANN's solution is to organize post event 'readouts' in remote locations,
where presumably the f2f factor can be sustained.
