For those of you following my attempts at getting a secure SSL TN3270 session to VM through PCOMM (riveting, isn't it?) here's am update:
1) the PCOMM session is set to use the IBM GS toolkit, and to use the key database, the IBM managed one, not the M$ managed certificate database, (password is supplied, along with the proper label name) 2) the SSL secured port is available (NETSTAT show the proper port number and SSL information...) 3) when PCOMM attempts to connect, it gets a "420" error code, which says the partner closed the socket before the protocol completed. 4) all SSLSERV tracing options are enabled and we have a complete trace of the connection.....and the client is reaching the server. So what should be done next? Suggestions welcome. -- Dave Jones V/Soft Software, Inc. Houston 281.578.7544
