If you need to test on the bare iron -
Do the install to minidisks defined using cylinder 1-end to prevent duplicate
real volsers.
Relabel the minidisks to names that do not duplicate any other volser.
Use DDR to copy the minidisk to a real disk.
Format the last cylinder of the real disk as PERM.
You now have a system that can be run as either first level or second level.
