Hi, We have a 2216 which connects the z890 to the LAN, for both SNA and TCPIP traffic. I am supposed to set up the OSA-Express to replace it.
As far as the TCPIP part goes, here is the current picture: +-----+ +------+10.0.0.9 | VSE |------| 2216 |-----------LAN 10.0.0.x +-----+ +------+ 10.1.4.2 10.1.4.1 Using OSA/SF I configured the OSA to support SNA and TCPIP, and we have successfully connected to VTAM from the LAN. Now I need to also configure TCPIP addresses on the OSA and attach them to the VSE guest. Users on the LAN are supposed to be able to use FTP to get files from the VSE. My question is, if the 2216 was acting as a router between two different nets, how do I set this up? Will a virtual switch help me to bridge between the 10.1 and the 10.0 networks? Thank you, Shimon
