Ok, read the rest of the announcement. It says "non-exclusive". Velocity Software still owns product development, 2nd level support of ASG customers, as well as primary support of Velocity Software customers. And by the way, this gives me added resources to do the things I want....
My platform of choice is VM. After seeing all the problems today in measuring VMWare - none of the presenters at CMG seemed to know how to get performance data from the platform, - in comparison, the work that Velocity Software has done to date is definitely impressive. (compared to other VM performance products as well). In the announcement that I pre-approved, there was also a statement that this gives me the opportunity to increase development. It does. We continue to hire the BEST people available for both developement and PERFORMANCE research. I expect support to get significantly better than the already GREAT support and enhancements y'all keep saying that we are providing..... (Thank you) Velocity Software is STILL provides the preeminent z/VM performance products. Recently I was told by long time user that the Velocity Software products were the "Cadillac" of the performance world. (So i had to go buy one)... My corporate objective is to provide overwhelming value to installations using our software. I believe there is no obstacle to this objective.
