If z/VM only supports up to 2G of central storage, then I have a problem. Our system has been running with 30GB main and 26GB expanded for 6 months. The confusion is that prior to z/VM 5.2, the VM CP is a 32-bit system, which does not imply that it only supports a maximum main storage size of 2GB. The CP runs below 2GB, but it does use storage above the line - guest storage would be a good example of an above the line usage. We have been running z/VM with greater than 2GB main storage since we were first able to have more than 2GB for our TPF guests.
