With z/VM, you can also use the "3270 Integrated console", which is free
of charge. But, this 3270 emulator is basic: no cut&paste for example,
PA1/PA2/PA3 cannot be entered with the keyboard, you need to select them
from a pull-down menu, no keyboard tailoring (or: I didn't find it yet)
Let's say that this 3270 behaves almost like an old real 3270, without the
fancy stuff PC emulators bring.
Certainly suited to IPL your VM, real operators would use an full-blown
3270 emulater on another workstation.

OSA-ICC

I am getting a brand new z890 next week and I'll be installing z/VM 5.2.

My question is, 'What do I need to take advantage of OSA-ICC for my
consoles?'.

Does anyone have an example of the OSA deffination they can share?
What emulator do you use on the PC ?
Is there anything else I need to know? Any gotcha's?

Thanks
