For those who missed my original question: This is just for the installation, it is not for a running system. We, as Jim, modify the ongoing maintenance processes. We use emulated DASD, so 50 and 1000 are the smallest we have. Since Z/VM 5.1. does not page parts of its nucleus as did prior releases, the PAGE volume, even at 50 cylinders is not needed, expect for the install process (2nd Level). Jim
