Using Vdisks: Yes indeed, but use with caution: CP considers Vdisk pages
as shared storage, hence protects them better then ordinary user pages. We
once made VMSORT use Vdisks instead of Tdisks. the result was dramatic.

We do also use a special SFS filepool as temp space. No fragmentation
problems either, and when you log off, the data are not gone. Drawback:
some extra CPU costs and you must make something to clean things up. An
automatic cleanup can be done by using DFSMS, which is free of charge, but
requires ISPF.
