I have never had a CPUID that began with anything other than a 0 or 1. We are getting a new z890 with a CPUID of Exxxx. The CPUID of our current z800 is 1xxxx. In the SYSTEM NETID file, the format of the CPUID field is six HEX digits with the first one being the LPAR number. When I Q CPUID on my current system, it responds back with FF00xxxx... My point is that the 1 does not show up as part of the current Q CPUID response. Can I expect that the E of my new CPUID will not show up either?
