Hello VMers, we are new to z/VM, so please pardon this question if it seems elementary.
I am trying to set up SYSMON and SYSWATCH. We are trying to monitor the one system only. When I log on to SYSMON, the following message appears: DMSCYM2369I SYSMON is being initialized. I issue the CP DISC and I then invoke SYSWATCH on one of the "authorized" userids and get the following message: DMSCYM2379S NO RESPONSE RECEIVED FROM THE SERVICE MACHINE SYSMON AT ZVMDEVL. According to HELP MSG DMS2379S No response received from the service machine userid at nodeid. Explanation: The central monitoring user ID named in the message is not responding to requests from SYSWATCH to send data for display. System Action: None. User Response: Make sure that all RSCS links between your user ID and the user ID named in the message are working properly. Also make sure that the named user ID is running disconnected. Then restart SYSWATCH. Does SYSMON/SYSWATCH work with RSCS "disabled"? Thanks in advance for any help. Susan
