Posted to comp.os.vms under the subject "Hackers can't break into VMS"
(a long rant on the iniquity of null-terminated strings)

'Regarding the recent discussion of the Galaxy locking interface: the masses
have spoken. We will add a traditional interface to these services (using
descriptors) in a future release of OpenVMS.

We will officially retire the ASCIZ interfaces, but keep them functional for
backwards compatibility.
