Well, on top of everything else, RC2's exibiting the same problem with
no-extension files that RC1 did, which I couldn't track down. Which means
it won't build extensions.
I'm trying with a few options to see what's up, and set the defaults
accordingly once I figure it out. Patch'll have to wait for 5.6.1, though,
unless I get hit by a bolt of inspiration. (And given how much sleep I
haven't had, that's not too likely)
