VMS::Lock is an interface to the DLM. I'm pretty sure it doesn't, though I
can dig up the sources to the lock manager if you really need a definitive
answer and can wait a week or three. :)

VMS::Lock is on CPAN--snag it from a mirror near you and install it. At
that point PERLDOC VMS::LOCK will get you docs.
