Hey folks.

Compaq's serving up a new preview version of Apache at
http://www.openvms.digital.com/openvms/products/ips/apache/preview.html. To
go with that, I've a preview of mod_perl hanging off of
http://www.sidhe.org/vmsperl/mod_perl_preview.html. This isn't a general
announcement or anything even remotely official, just a kit for your
amusement and testing.

Both the perl and mod_perl patches I inflicted on the source'll be passed
back when clean. Unfortunately this version *requires* a custom perl,
mainly because of some namespace pollution issues in vmsish.h. (That's part
of what I fixed) Luckily multiple installs of perl will peacefully coexist. :)

If something breaks, do let me know as I'd like to fix it. Also note that
there are basically *no* directions on configuring mod_perl here--it's no
different on VMS than it is anywhere else. (And I'm not all that fluent in
mod_perl, so I can't be all that much help. The O'Reilly "Writing Apache
modules in C and perl" book's been handy for me, though)
