This patch takes everything I could find in the archives except all the
heavy lifting we have left to Chuck Lane (patches for which may be found at
<http://www.crinoid.com/perl560.htmlx>). What it boils down to here is
several small (but not necessarily minor) tweaks by Peter Prymmer and moi.
Please let me know if I have left anything out. There is help here for some
install problems and extension building issues, among other things.
I send the patch as a gzipped attachment since something about my mail setup
seems to capriciously change the amount of whitespace in in-line patches.
Drop in your perl source directory and apply with patch -p1 after unzipping.
