If I recall correctly there was no opposition to the "ctx=bin" on MBX'es
patch of yours. Using the C<binmode FILEHANDLE, DISCIPLINE> extension
might be handy here too. Can you update your patch to go against a
developer's kit such as perl@9917? Thanks.
I see that whoever patched perlfunc.pod for the new binmode()
behavior seems to think that VMS is a DOS platform. I'll try to formulate
a patch for that soonish.
