[.op]read.t tries to read itself. If the record format is changed
from StreamLF, it fails to read what it expects. I've been bitten
by that when re-packing the distribution to a ZIP file. A simple
$ CONVERT /FDL=SYS$INPUT: [.op]read.t [.op]read.t
RECORD
FORMAT Stream_LF
^Z
should take care of it.
