G_FLOAT is native in that sense and also in the sense that it has been around forever and is supported in hardware on both VAX and Alpha. I have not tried a G_FLOAT build on Alpha recently if that's what you're asking and it would be nice to know that it still works. It would also be really nice to get reports of a D_FLOAT build on VAX since that's more likely to run into problems.
