Stick a VMS::Pod::Hlp dummy package in it that just contains a package
declaration and a bit of POD pointing to Pod::Hlp. Then it should be
indexed in VMS:: fine.

It would probably be useful for VMS folks in general. I'll let you propose
that since you know a lot more about this than I do.

The CPAN version of MakeMaker can simply have a dependency on it.

I don't think people will mind much. In fact, the probably reaction will be
"wacky VMS stuff *shrug*". Sean Burke ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) might be able to
help you. Since he's PODmeister he should know about Interesting
Conversions that require reordering.

As long as it works and doesn't make too many system environment
assumptions.
